Historic Homes
Consider interior improvements while retaining original windows, trim, and character.

Comfort without losing original details
Older windows can be important to a home’s character. Drafts, outside noise, irregular shapes, and delicate trim call for a considered interior approach.
Sound and insulation goals
An added interior layer may address both noise and thermal comfort. Review original-window condition, ventilation, and moisture considerations as part of the assessment.
Fit the configuration to the opening
Compression or magnetic mounting, custom panel shapes, and divided layouts may be considered. The choice depends on the original frame and acceptable attachment surfaces, not simply the age of the home.
Trim, finishes, and preservation
Document details that must remain visible or untouched. Review reversibility and any applicable building or preservation requirements before work begins. Interior work does not automatically remove approval requirements.
Arches, stained glass, and specialty conditions
Unusual glass or shapes require individual review, including how the existing window is accessed and maintained. Include photos of the full opening and surrounding trim.
Pricing & scope
Pricing depends on the dimensions, materials, thickness, mounting, panel divisions, and installation conditions. Your assessment establishes a configuration and scope; an example from another project is not a quote for your space.
