Resource Guide
PTAC Cabinets & Surrounding Openings
Account for equipment, noise paths, and maintenance access together.
Separate the sound sources
Noise can come through the wall sleeve, around the unit, or from the equipment itself. A window panel may not address all of these paths.
Preserve equipment requirements
Any proposed cabinet or surrounding treatment must preserve specified airflow, clearances, controls, and maintenance access. The unit and the building conditions need individual review.
What to share
Provide the unit model, photos of the full assembly, and any building restrictions. We can review how equipment considerations fit into the window configuration.
